Ciate Advent Calendar & APN Nail Polish Case

This is a double whammy post today. Firstly the beautiful and very sort after Ciate Nail Polish Advent Calendar. (Mini Mani Month).

Ciate is a British Nail Fashion brand, on it's way to global phenomenon., it contains no nasties and every detail has been thoroughly thought through, such as the easy hold long handle, the 250 bristle flat brush to guarantee a flawless even finish and the bottle is designed to fit comfortably in your hand, all finished with a satin bow!

This calendar is a real sell out item. Not surprising as nails and nail art are the biggest thing at the moment. It contains seventeen of Ciate's bestselling mini Paint pots, four mini Caviar blends and three extremely special exclusive Paint Pot glitter shade's that you'll not find anywhere else.

Ciate introduced the first three dimensional nail kit of it's kind. The inspiration behind the Caviar Manicure came about when Charlotte, Ciate's Creative Director, was looking to create 3 dimensional nails for a front cover magazine shoot and wanted to develop something feminine, indulgent yet delicately extravagant. The finished effect gives nails an instant sophisticated look.

Ciate has many celebrity fans including, Adele, Pink, Jessie J and Kate Moss. The Calendar is sold in Selfridges as well as on the Ciate website but sells out really quickly, they even have a waiting list, so get your name down if you want one.

Now we come onto the double whammy bit - Where do you store all those nail polishes and any others you may have?

Right here! - in the APN Nail Polish Case. I love this case, it is a sturdy clear plastic case with a carry handle. Perfect for you to clearly see and choose which colour you want to wear that day.

The APN case is double sided and holds a massive 48 bottles of nail polish. It is also designed to hold all makes of nail polish including APN, OPI, Orly and many more. It's light weight and durable and I believe it's the perfect storage solution for those with too many nail polishes.

Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser

Lets face it - we all want beautiful skin like Liz Earle, so when I was given the opportunity to trial her Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser I jumped at the chance.

It is a plant based cleanser with a two phase action. Phase one is the cleanser which works to deep cleanse your face. It's free from mineral oils and contains naturally active ingredients including eucalyptus and cocoa butter. The cleanser is rich and creamy and smells gorgeous as you gently massage it over your face.

Phase two is the polishing. You put the supplied muslin cloth into hot (but not too hot) water, wring out and use this over your face to remove the cleanser. The muslin cloth has just the right texture to gently exfoliate and dislodge dead skin cells. It's such a simple idea but the results are brilliant. Having used it now for a few weeks my skin is lighter, brighter and more radiant with an even skin tone.

Liz Earle's Cleanse and Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser is a multi award winning product and was voted the Most Revolutionary Beauty Product of the last 20 Years at the CEW (UK) Awards 2012.

It really is a British Beauty Essential that is perfect for all ages and skin types.  But the other great thing here is that this concentrated yet very gentle cleanser can be shipped internationally for all my loyal overseas followers.

This is the 2nd Liz Earle product that has made it into my "Top Beauty Buy", leaving me VERY eager to try out her other products. There's definitely something very good going on here!

Umberto Giannini Frizzi Frizz Off Blow Dry Cream

I have always used Umberto Giannini Sleek and Chic Blow Dry Cream on my hair, so when I could no longer find it in the shops I was in panic mode. It would appear to me that it has now been discontinued. I hate it when that happens to me.

HOWEVER, I needn't have worried as Umberto Giannini have released a new range called "Frizzi" and it's absolutely brilliant!

I have been using the new Frizzi Frizz Off Blow Dry Cream, which is amazingly an improvement on it's predecessor. It states on the front that it's super smooth taming for coarse and unruly hair. Well my hair isn't really coarse or unruly but it is dry, damaged and frizzy, and this blow dry cream really does a great job of transforming my hair into smooth and shiny locks that really do sashay.

Umberto Giannini's Blow Dry Cream is a thick white cream that comes in a stylish grey tube. It is heat activated and contains conditioning agents that trouble shoot damage where needed. It also has a heat protection built in which is perfect for my everyday blow dried hair. In fact with this styling formula, my hair is done and styled even quicker than before.

It's so easy to use, even if you're in a hurry, just squeeze a small amount into your palm and blend evenly through your towel dried hair and blow dry as normal.

So if, like me, you suffer from the frizzies and want to blow dry your hair sleek and smooth - Get this product, it's amazing!

The YOU Beauty Advent Calendar

I haven't had a Christmas Advent Calendar since I was a little girl, and even then there were no such things as advent calendars with chocolates in. My Advent calendar usually had a nativity scene on it with a little door to open each day, behind each door was a picture of a donkey or star or some other religious icon. I do however remember being really excited as this was the count down to Christmas and lots of presents from Santa.

Now, many years later, I have received a Beauty Advent Calendar and I have just the same excitement as I remember from being a child. This calendar has been produced by a joint venture between "You" magazine and "Latest In Beauty".

A large box arrived, all tied together with a big pink bow. In fact my husband got quite excited as he thought I'd received some sexy lingerie! But the packaging is really very lovely.

Inside there are 24 doors, labelled 1 to 24, and behind each door is a Beauty Product. You can't see the products as they are covered, but the above picture above shows the calender's contents. So what's in there?

Well I don't want to spoil your fun, but lets just say there are 24 luxury products from Top Companies. (Some of which you may recognise from the photos). The Advent Calender isn't cheap at £59.95 but seeing as the contents are worth over £210 you can really spoil yourself or someone special!  I shall look forward to reviewing the products in the near future.

The Vintage Cosmetic Company Tweezers

Through out my life I have used bog standard tweezers. I never realised just what I was missing out on until I received these Vintage Cosmetic Company Tweezers.  They are beautifully decorated and feel really girly to use.

The tweezers are a beautifully made precision tool, with excellent slanted tips that meet perfectly together allowing you to pluck your eyebrows with great accuracy.

At less than half the cost of Tweezerman tweezers but every bit as good, they are a real beauty steal, and The Vintage Cosmetic Company really does deserve more media exposure.

Just let my family try and use MY beautiful tweezers and there will be BIG trouble !!!
